New Fabric:

We have kitted the table runner pictured above  - bottom right.  The panel has 6 blocks and you would need 3. You could purchase extra fabric and make the runner bigger or make another for a friend.  The finished size for the runner is 42 3/4 x 18.  If you want extra fabric for a 2nd runner please let us know and we will advise you of the additional cost.

If you want to make the bench pillow with the extra blocks, let us know and we can cut that project for you.  The pattern you receive will have instructions to make both projects.

Another idea for the extra blocks - make placemats or hot pads for your table. (we do have insul-bright in stock).

The kits are priced at $28.45.

Classes:

Serger Cover with Linda Bratten Baby Lock Educator:

This Serger Skill Builder session will share a variety of serger techniques from piecing with your serger, to quilting with a chain stitch, and attaching a binding all done on the serger. This session will showcase the 8-thread sergers, but can be done on a 4-thread serger and a sewing machine with a walking foot.  A bonus is that we will be using the Baby Lock Exclusive fabric to create a fun and useful addition to your studio!

The class is scheduled for June 25th 9:00 a.m. to noon.  Fabric for the front and back will be included in your kit. This class is on the website.  It will list any additional items you may need.  This class will be zoom and in-store.

The Missouri Shop Hop Facebook page is adding information about the shops that are participating in the September and October event.  I received an e-mail that my shop has now been added.

Now I have a little fairy tale for you.  Many many years ago, when I opened my little quilt shop, 2 friends named Barb and Sandy were helping out.  They went to the back room to get something and saw this very large tote on the floor (the size container that you store your Christmas tree in).

A very, very large tote filled to the top.

They asked what's this?  There's lots of different fabrics in here.

Thus began my little tale.  I asked them if they had ever hear of the Bermuda triangle?  As you know it is a large area in the ocean that had a reputation that if a plane flew thru the Bermuda triangle.....the plane was lost forever.   I told them my little (well large) tote was my Bermuda triangle.   It seemed that when there were mis-cuts, left over fabric from kits etc. it was easier to just throw them in the tote.....and I guess they have been missing in the Quilt 4 U triangle.

We then decided to cut them in 1 yard cuts to sell.  It was very successful and the customers loved it!

Well, it's that time again.  Below, you will see a picture of the bermuda triangles we currently have available.  They are priced to sell.  Come and take a look.  You will noticed that little (big) red tote is sitting under that table waiting to move up with the others.  Check that group out too!  Ha!

In addition we now have tootsie rolls???? actually ours are two-tsie rolls with a sweet treat.  Come and see what they are.

Quilt 4 U is open Wednesday thru Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Stop by and see us and take a break from this heat.
