Liz is coming, Liz is coming…Save the date!
Booneslick Trail Quilters Guild is hosting a presentation by Liz Porter. This is a rare opportunity to hear Liz speak.
Liz Porter and Marianne Fons will be inducted into The Quilters Hall of Fame in Marion IN this summer. After her visit to Columbia she will go back to Texas and resume making quilts for her own pleasure and improving her golf game. She’s technically retired from the quilt circuit…aren’t we lucky.
Date: June 1, 2019
Time: 11:oo a.m.
Place: Fairview United Methodist Church,
3200 Chapel Hill, Columbia MO.
We all know Liz Porter…quilt maker, author, and magazine publisher (plus avid golfer). Liz and Marianne fostered the growth of quilt making as teachers traveling to quilt guilds throughout the USA for many years. Their magazine “Fons and Porter Love of Quilting” is one of the most influential quilt publications.
Tickets are available for $5 by sending your check made out to Booneslick Trail Quilters Guild, c/o Bettina Havig, 1108 Sunset Lane, Columbia MO.
A numbered ticket will be returned to you via email or by SASE. Be sure to include you email either on the check or on paper included with the check. Space is limited.
